How We Protect Your Data
At edTimber, your security is our highest priority. We understand how important it is for you to trust that your information is safe with us. That’s why we’ve built our platform with advanced security features and best practices to keep your data protected at all times.
A closer look at the measures we take
Built on AWS - Industry-Leading Security
Our platform is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world’s most trusted cloud provider. AWS is known for its strong, enterprise-level security that safeguards millions of businesses worldwide.
AWS Shield
We use AWS Shield to protect our platform from Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, ensuring that our services remain available even under heavy network traffic.
Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
We implement VPC configurations to securely isolate our network and ensure that your data stays protected from unauthorized access.
AWS Key Management Service (KMS)
To protect your sensitive data, we use AWS KMS, which encrypts data using state-of-the-art encryption techniques. This ensures that only authorized parties can access your information.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
To secure your account, we use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This means that even if someone gets hold of your password, they won’t be able to access your account without a second layer of verification, such as a code sent to your phone, email one-time-password or code from Google Authenticator. MFA adds an extra step, but it significantly increases your security and peace of mind.
Compliant with Privacy Standards
In addition to our strong security practices, we benefit from AWS’s compliance with ISO/IEC 27701:2019 privacy information management standards. This means that AWS follows strict guidelines for protecting your personal data, ensuring that your privacy is always respected and safeguarded.
Continuous Monitoring and Improvement
Security is not a one-time effort; it’s an ongoing commitment. We continuously monitor our systems for any suspicious activity and apply the latest updates to stay ahead of potential threats. Additionally, we conduct regular security audits to make sure we’re always following the best practices for protecting your data.
Your Role in Security
While we take extensive measures to secure your information, security is a shared responsibility. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and enable MFA to further protect your account.
